Favorite film/director

Well, today I'm gonna write about my favourite film/director. May you could think it is a simple question, but it's not. Even when you are a film student (my case).

Probably my favourite film is Donnie Darko, because it's a mix of genres and use different sistems to do a movie. The film is a coming of age, where a teenager called Donnie (Jake Gyllenhaal) has visions about a bunny who tell him about the future and the end of the world. The atmosphere of the film is a constantly psychollogical thriller and has a lot of dark things. The script is really go tho, and it has so many smart quotes. The director of the film is Richard Kelly, this was his first  movie, but I think he is a bad director, Donnie Darko was an exception on his filmography.

My favorite director is Gaspar Noé, born in Argentina but raised in France, Gaspar made a lot of movies that make the audience feel different strong emotions, like angry, fear, anxiety, disgust, etc. And I think that is pure cinema, through a screen make it feel emotions. Another thing I like a lot, is he has a unique visual style and no fear to do whatever he wants, not caring about the audience, people or critics. He is controversial, but an open minded guy, in his interviews he talks a lot about drug experiences, love, and how he feels his films. The last year, he showed his new film "Vortex", and the main character is a legendary Italian director called Dario Argento, playing an ancient man with dementia. Probably his most mature film, but I didn't watch it yet, I had too many things for the University (that's why I'm writing this too late, sorry).
